Chief Operating Officer - Smiles
Georgia is the Chief Operating Officer for Smiles for a Lifetime, a leading school-based dental program dedicated to providing quality dental care to underserved children in grades K4-12 in some of the most rural schools in South Carolina. With a career spanning over 20 years in nonprofit management and healthcare operations, Georgia has been instrumental in the success of the SMILES program. Under her leadership, the program has grown from one dental center to five centers that serve approximately 4000 students annually; and the quality of care provided is that of any other dental office you might visit.
Before joining Welvista she worked as a registered nurse and Director of Nursing at Allendale County Hospital. She has served as an advisory member of Allendale Healthy Learners, the National School Health Alliance, and at present as a board member of Allendale County Hospital. She is passionate about improving health outcomes for underserved communities and she continues to drive growth at the SMILES centers where she believes every smile deserves to be a healthy smile.
