David Ouellet
Director of Pharmacy - MAP
As the Director of Pharmacy, David is responsible for the overall management of the Pharmacy and ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations. He serves as a liaison between Welvista and our pharmaceutical partners and is responsible for compliance with our pharmaceutical audits. David holds a PharmD degree from Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy and was part of their first graduating class in 2014. He started his career with Welvista as a staff pharmacist in 2018 after working as a retail pharmacist at CVS/Pharmacy where his passion to help the most vulnerable patient population began.
David’s quick development at Welvista is not only a testament to his dedication to Welvista’s mission and patients but also his dedication to his team and the ability to adapt in various roles. His leadership style actively engages his team to strive to accomplish Welvista’s Mission to help provide lifesaving medicine to uninsured South Carolinians. His innovative process improvement skills have also created an efficient and fast-paced pharmacy operation that ensures timely medication turnaround, while upholding stringent regulatory and safety standards, to ensure patients will not go without their medications.
