What is Welvista?
Welvista is a South Carolina nonprofit organization that helps uninsured and underserved residents access healthcare through two programs: the Medication Assistance Pharmacy (MAP) and Smiles for a Lifetime (SMILES). Through free prescription medications and school-based dental care, Welvista removes barriers to care and improves health outcomes across South Carolina.
What We Do?
Welvista operates two programs that remove barriers to healthcare for South Carolinians. our Medication Assistance Pharmacy (MAP) provides free medications to eligible uninsured residents through a charitable mail-order pharmacy, while Smiles for a Lifetime delivers comprehensive dental care through stand-alone dental offices located in public school districts across rural South Carolina.
Who Do We Help?
Welvista serves uninsured and medically underserved South Carolinians. The Medication Assistance Pharmacy (MAP) provides free prescription medications to eligible uninsured, low-income residents in all 46 counties across South Carolina, while the Smiles for a Lifetime program improves access to dental care for students in the Allendale, Clarendon, Dillon Four, and Hampton County school districts at no cost to their families.
