Welvista Welcomes New Board Members

Welvista is pleased to announce the appointment of four new directors to serve on its 15-person board: Dr. Ken Santiago, Dr. Anna Shalkham, Ashley Groome and Jodi Sims.
New Board Members
Dr. Ken Santiago has been the CEO of Physicians at Home in Myrtle Beach since 2014 and is a board-certified physician in internal medicine with focused practice in hospital medicine. Dr. Santiago finished his Doctorate in Medicine at Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico and completed his Internal Medicine residency program at Baystate Medical Center, Tufts University School in Massachusetts.
Dr. Anna Shalkham is the current Vice President & Chief Information Officer at Lexington Medical Center as well a board-certified physician in emergency medicine and clinical informatics. Dr. Shalkham received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years.
Ashley Groome is the Director of U.S. State Government Affairs for Johnson and Johnson, in Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, Ashley spent 13 years in corporate consulting and lobbied on behalf of a variety of interests, including pharmaceutical, health care and emerging technologies. Ashley holds a B.A. in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Georgia and a J.D. from Georgia State University’s School of Law.
Jodi Sims is the CEO of Jodi Sims Marketing, LLC and brings to Welvista an extensive background in healthcare marketing. Jodi has chaired many non-profit events, including the Chattanooga Heart Ball, The Pearl Ball benefiting the Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation, Dance for Dance benefiting the Nashville Ballet and served on the March of Dimes board of directors in Myrtle Beach, where she resides with her husband, Mark. Jodi received a degree in PR & Communications from the University of Alabama.
Welvista is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that advances the health and wellness of uninsured and underserved residents in South Carolina.
