CommuniCare Announces Plan To Deliver Free Prescription Medication to North Carolina's Uninsured

CommuniCare held a news conference on Thursday, May 1, 2008, at the Raleigh Rescue Mission in Raleigh, NC, to announce a pilot program to deliver free prescription medications to the uninsured and underinsured, utilizing North Carolina's free clinic network. The program is a partnership between the NC Association of Free Clinics, CommuniCare, and several pharmaceutical companies, and is expected to provide nearly 1500 prescriptions for more than 500 patients of the three pilot free clinics.
